Advertising Agreement

Because ad space is reserved and goes live immediately upon approval, we do not offer refunds. This includes cases where an ad is removed for not following our community rules or business requirements.

This platform is exclusively for businesses that **physically serve Harford County, Maryland.** By purchasing an ad, you certify that your business is local to the area or provides direct services (such as home repair or delivery) to Harford County residents. We do not accept national or out-of-area advertisements.

To keep Harford Exchange a positive space for the community, we only accept ads for local businesses and services. We do not accept political ads, campaign messaging, or partisan groups. If an ad is found to be political, it will be removed without a refund.

We only show ads for real, registered businesses. By purchasing an ad, you confirm that your business is in "Good Standing" with the State of Maryland and that you hold any required professional licenses (like an MHIC license). If we cannot verify your status, we reserve the right to pause the ad.

Every ad is reviewed before it goes live. Your ad duration does not start when you pay. It starts the moment your ad is approved and appears on the board. We aim to review all ads within 24 hours.

If you update an active ad, it will briefly disappear from the board so we can double-check the changes. It usually comes back up quickly, but we do not extend the ad time for the short period it was offline for review.
