1. Information We Collect

Account Identity: When you authenticate via Google, we receive your email address and profile name to verify your identity and manage your submissions.

Business Details: For advertisers, we collect business names and contact information required for account verification and campaign management.

Transaction Records: Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store or have access to your credit card numbers. We retain only the transaction metadata necessary to verify and fulfill your ad placements.

Submitted Content: Information intentionally provided for public display, including descriptions and media, is stored on our secure infrastructure.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used strictly for internal platform operations, including verifying local listings, ensuring compliance with community guidelines, and providing automated receipts or critical service alerts. We do not sell, rent, or share your private data with third-party marketers.

3. Public vs. Private Information

Public: Any content you intentionally submit for publication (Event details, Business names, and associated images) is visible to all visitors of the Harford Exchange.

Private: Your personal email address and internal billing metadata are strictly private and protected by access controls.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Automated Cleanup: Expired event listings and advertisements are automatically hidden and subsequently purged from our databases.

User-Controlled Deletion: We provide tools in account settings to manually delete your profile. This initiates a permanent cascade delete of your account metadata, business campaigns, and event listings from our active systems.

5. Cookies and Security

We use essential session cookies for secure authentication. We employ industry-standard encryption to protect all stored information and do not utilize invasive third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
